About the course
The OCR B GCSE Geography specification gives students the opportunity to develop and extend their knowledge of locations, places, environments and process at different scales whilst learning new geography skills,  Students will study in-depth contemporary case studies including the UK in the 21st Century. Learning will be focused on engaging enquiry questions and exploring interconnections between places and ideas and solutions for a sustainable future.

A key idea throughout the specification is to ‘Think like a Geographer’. The focus on enquiry based learning and Unit 3: Geographical Exploration exam enable this. Unit 3 is a synoptic exam where students will draw on content from a range of topics from Unit 1 and 2 and apply this to a specific unseen country context.

Unit 2: People and Society – examination 35% (1 hour 15 minutes)
Unit 3: Geographical Exploration – examination 30% (1 hour 30 minutes)
