Students Celebrate A-Level Exam Success

Students and staff at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace are celebrating today after achieving a strong set of A Level results following two years of severe disruption and no formal examinations since June 2019.

There were excellent results in all subjects with particular success in Further Maths, Physics and History. The Academy’s vocational results were equally impressive with 62% graded Distinction/Distinction*.

Those celebrating today include:

  • Kirsti, who achieved A*, A*, A* and will read Veterinary Science at Cambridge University.
  • Daniel, who achieved A*, A*, A will read maths at Bristol University.
  • Maha, who achieved A*, A, A is taking a gap year and will be reading medicine next year.
  • Leila, who achieved A*, A, A and will be undertaking an apprenticeship with Morgan Stanley in technology and she will be reading Digital and Technology Solutions at Queen Mary’s University.
  • Genevieve, who achieved A*, A, A and will read medicine at the University of Manchester.
  • Katerina, who achieved A*, A, A and is still weighing up her offers.
  • Lewanique, who acheived D* D* D* is still deciding having received offers from other universities.
  • Chee, who achieved A, A, A and will be reading computer science at Queen Mary’s University.
  • Jessie, who achieved D* D* D* and will be reading sport at East London University.

Katherine Cumberbatch, Executive Principal of the Academy said: “Despite the challenges of the past two years, our students have, as ever, performed magnificently. They have worked so hard towards these exams which will enable them to follow their chosen future career pathways.”
