First Day at Crystal Palace

Year 7 students begin on Tuesday 2nd September. All students must arrive by 8:25am to the student entrance (Sylvan Road), where they will then be escorted to their faculty lineup areas. Students will finish school at 2:00pm and will be released from the main entrance (Maberley Road). From Wednesday 3rd September, students need to arrive to school at 8:25am and will finish at 3:20pm except for Fridays when students finish at 2:00pm.

Students are to arrive in full school uniform which includes, white shirt, faculty colour tie, trousers or kilt, blazer and black polishable shoes. Wearing a jumper is optional. Please be reminded that students must only wear one plain gold/silver stud in each ear lobe and no other jewellery as this will be confiscated and kept until collected or returned to students at the end of the half term. Only natural hair colours are allowed. Students are not allowed to have fake eyelashes, painted or false nails. Failure to comply with the uniform expectations will result in students not being permitted to be in lessons. You can find the full uniform policy here.

Your child will also need to bring a pencil case which includes at least 2 blue/black pens, a green pen, ruler, 2 pencils, rubber and sharpener. As we will be completing biometrics throughout the week, students will not be able to buy lunch from the canteen so they will need to bring a packed lunch to school each day for week 1. Sweets and fizzy drinks are forbidden.
