Matilda and Croydon Music Festival
On the 2nd April 2014 43 Gifted and Talented Art and Music students went to watch Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre, Covent Garden. This exciting experience was an essential requirement in order for them to complete Part B of their Arts Award Portfolio, reviewing a live performance.
On Friday 25th April the Junior Band which comprises over thirty Year 7-9 students took part in the Croydon Music Festival at Royal Russell School. The students all performed very well and received positive comments from the judges. Well done to all of them!
On Wednesday 30th April three year 12 and two year 13 students visited Christchurch Primary in Battersea to deliver a Jazz/Blues workshop. The students organised and helped over fifty Year 4-6 students to prepare a performance after a short forty five minute introduction and rehearsal. They all managed to work exceptionally well with the students and we are very proud of them!
Upcoming events: Jazz Cafe on the 8th May and The Croydon Music Festival at Royal Russell School on the 10th May.
