MP Gavin Barwell visit Harris Post 16
On the 19th April, Croydon Central Conservative MP Gavin Barwell came to visit Harris Post 16. He held a question and answer session for approximately 50 Year 12 & 13 students who had a barrage of questions for him. The discussion encompassed many hard- hitting, politically focussed questions ranging from the weaknesses of hung parliaments and the legacy of Thatcherism to the struggles of being a socially liberal Conservative. The students were pleased with the outcome stating that they enjoyed the talk and found it informative. Many stated that it had altered their opinion of the Conservative Party. Harris Post 16 would like to thank Mr Barwell for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk to us and a special thanks to Year 12 students Vincent Nimoh and David Gayle for arranging it.
