Trip to the Royal Institute
The amazing experience started as soon as we walked into the lecture room. The room was full of plush seats all facing the centre of attention, the lecturers. The lecture highlighted brilliant aspects of Olympic sports and Olympians such as: would Usain Bolt be a good long jumper, why and how cyclists want to become aerodynamic and do running shoes actually make you run faster. These theories were explained and demonstrated in detail exceptionally well, and clearly enough for us to understand the scientific answers and explanations. The one hour lecture filled us with life-long knowledge and I definitely know the lecture gave everyone more interest in sports engineering and physics.
