International Conference on Robotics and Automation

Here at Harris Crystal Palace, we strive to ensure that our young engineers and designers have access to the very latest developments in artificial intelligence and robotics, and for this reason we have teamed up with the organisers of the The International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA 2023), an international industry event which is happening in London over summer half term. They were the kind sponsors of our robotics workshop on Wednesday when students learned to program a Sphero Bolt robot. Shaped like a sphere, this robot can go underwater, follow specific paths, sense barriers and transmit messages - provided you code it correctly. We enable our students to programme a wide range of robots and controllers in the DT department. Next step - make a sphero bolt robot obstacle course! Some lucky students will have VIP invites to the conference, and a chance to compete there with other schools in a robot driving challenge.
