Battle of the Brains 2014

On the 23rd of June 2014 the Harris City Academy Crystal Palace Battle of the Brains Team went to Harris Beckenham to take on fourteen other Harris Academies in the ultimate clash of knowledge.

We had eleven rounds to defend our title with the Quiz Masters rooting for any other Academy except ours.  This made us even more determined to win!

Our dream team members were Ben Murphy 7AA, Chloe Glasheen 7CK, Zahra Rahman 8TB, Jack Keable-Elliott 8TB, Meena Anderson 9AA and Jonathan Mew 9TP.  We each had strengths in different subjects, so felt confident about our chances.  Our strongest rounds were Sports, Politics and Geography.

It was a close result, but in the end we came a very respectable 2nd place with East Dulwich Boys in 3rd and a strong Chafford Hundred team coming 1st. The most important thing though was that we enjoyed ourselves and we hope to reclaim the trophy next year.
