March Maths Month

HCACP students have celebrated the annual March Maths Month in style this year.  Students from all year groups got their 'Maths on'  taking part in the exciting events centred around exploring the beauty of Maths and highlighting the importance of numeracy in everyday life.  Notable highlights have included: 1st & 3rd place in the first-ever Federation Rubiks Cube Challenge; a successful defence of our Manga High title in the Federation Tournament; 14th out of nearly 50 schools in the UKMT Junior Team Challenge; Pi Day and Cross-Curricular Numeracy Day.

There was also the immensely popular “Daily Puzzle” on the tutor notices which created over 50 student and staff winners, and due to popular demand, it will return on a weekly basis. Special congratulations must go to Ms Sharma who has been the lucky winner on 3 occasions!

The Maths department would like to congratulate all students who participated in a competition or event last month, and we look forward to organising even more activities in March 2015!
