Today marks the last day of Anti-Bullying Week, and we’re learning how to recognise when someone might be experiencing bullying. Look out for changes in mood, behaviour, confidence, or friendships and always speak to a trusted adult if you’re worried about someone.#HCACP pic.twitter.com/ECnGYoQi13

Year 8 tour of Parliament

On the 3rd of February some year 8 students went on a school trip to the Houses of Parliament. Some of them met Steve Reed who is the MP for Croydon North.
To start with we were taken inside to Parliament Hall. From there we were given a tour of Parliament. We saw the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Did you know that the House of Commons is green and the House of Lords is red?
During the tour we saw huge numbers of massive paintings, of battles like Trafalgar and Waterloo. We even saw where and how MPs vote.
At the end of the tour we met with Steve Reed MP, the MP for Croydon North and our school. He talked to us about what he wants to change and what it's like being an MP. We asked him many different questions and he gave really interesting answers.
Overall it was a great day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
