Welcome from the Principal

Mr Andrew BarrI am delighted to welcome you to Harris City Academy Crystal Palace.
We are an outstanding school, delivering a high quality education for each one of our students. At Harris City Academy Crystal Palace we aim to prepare young people for an ever-changing world that values self-confident, well-educated and enterprising people. To achieve this aim, we provide an education that meets the needs of young people delivered in an educational environment that emphasises traditional standards of uniform, discipline and respect.

Harris City Academy Crystal Palace has been officially recognised by the government as a High Performing School and judged to be an Outstanding school in our most recent Ofsted inspection. This inspection found the Academy to be outstanding in every one of the 30 inspection measures - one of only three schools in the country to achieve a 'perfect' Ofsted inspection. Students of all abilities do exceptionally well here and we are very proud of their achievements. Our examination results make us one of the most successful schools in the country and we aim to improve further.

Everything we do at Harris City Academy Crystal Palace is centred on ensuring that each individual student is educated and supported to succeed in the world today – as an individual, as a partner, as a member of a team and as a citizen. The education we provide is rooted on high quality teaching with the added dimension that as a Business and Enterprise with Technology Academy we are also able to provide an enhanced range of experiences and opportunities designed to excite and engage.

The Academy offers a wide range of very high quality academic and vocational courses and all students have the opportunity to undertake realistic business and technological problem-solving projects. Full use is made of the very latest technology and state-of-the art computing facilities are a feature of teaching in all subjects.
