Success in AQA A Level Psychology in June 2017
The first sitting of AQA A Level Psychology is fast approaching with students preparing for Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 in June 2017. This course will focus on practical assessment and revision strategies that can be implemented over the coming weeks to ensure that your students are as well prepared as any to take on the challenges of the first AQA linear A Level Psychology exams.
Session 1 (2.00pm-3.45pm)
There is a lot of uncertainty about holistic marking and this session will provide you with techniques to mark holistically, mark accurately and most of all manage your marking workload. Techniques that shift the focus of marking onto students, who can become masters of peer-assessment, will also be shared.
Session 2: (4.10pm-6.00pm)
The Challenge of Linear
This session will set the scene including the key lessons to be learned from last year’s AQA AS Psychology examinations. The focus on the session will be on effective planning and preparation for the first year of linear A-Levels, by concentrating on examiner’s report, mark schemes and SAMs. Practical exam technique and activities will be demonstrated to overcome the common pitfalls in all areas of AQA A Level Psychology.
