Astounding GCSE Results!
Harris City Academy Crystal Palace students achieved amazing results this year. 96.02% of the students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths, whilst every student, 100%, achieved 5 or more grades at A*-C. For an Academy with a comprehensive intake that matches the national profile - in other words we have students of all abilities - this is a remarkable achievement.
The 96.02% 5+ A*-C grades including English and Maths represents a 7.45% improvement on the 2010 results and a 13% improvement on two years ago. It is the best ever achievement by the students at the Academy. These results, along with the best ever A level results achieved by our students last week, put Harris City Academy Crystal Palace firmly in the position of being one of the very best schools in the country.
Every student achieved really well this year and achieved their targets, with the very highest performers being: Joe Stanton who achieved 9.5 A* grades and 3 A grades, Selina Fecht who achieved 8.5 A* grades and 4 A grades, Laura Godsmark who gained 10 A grades, Lucy Owens 7.5 A* and 6 A grades, Chris Parmeter 6 A* and 3.5 A grades, Phoebe Plaskasoviti 1 A* and 9.5 A grades.
Principal Steve Kenning was naturally delighted with the achievements of the students, ‘With the dedication of the teaching and support staff, along with the high quality teaching and excellent facilities here at the Academy we always expect all our students to achieve their very best. This year our students have worked exceptionally hard and have earned their excellent grades. It is remarkable for an Academy with such a comprehensive intake to achieve such outstanding results. We are all very pleased with the results!’
