About the course
The GCSE Modern Foreign Language courses aim to provide students with opportunities to develop their language skills and explore the lifestyles and cultures of other countries. Through a range of different topics and activities, the course encourages students to recognise the role and importance of foreign languages in society and to develop effective communication and problem-solving skills. During the course students will continue to discover how language works and develop their reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. GCSE MFL is also a pre-requisite for those planning to study Modern Foreign Languages at A-Level and University.
