The Harris Design & Technology Subject Area is dedicated to preparing students for a world of ever advancing Technologies. Our aim is to provide the best facilities in Design and Technology including dedicated design ICT, alongside effective teaching strategies to create a positive and stimulating environment, meeting fully the National Curriculum requirements.

The Delivery of Design and Technology is geared towards providing stimulating and challenging tasks that will prepare the student for life long learning. Students design and make products of a high quality, learning how to be innovative in their approach and staying current in a rapidly changing, design-led industry.

Design & Technology embraces the skills taught in other subject areas and applies them to develop students' metacognitive and practical skills with the intention to create a real interest in the world of manufacturing.
