Mathematics
Our aim is to encourage all students to develop mathematical skills and understanding for them to achieve their own goals by providing them with a well ordered and disciplined environment.
At KS3 students use the SUCCESS IN MATHS textbooks, which cover work from National Curriculum Level 3 up to Level 8. It is our intention to push as many students to achieve a Level 7 or level 8 in their Year 9 SATS. One ICT project is completed every term in year 7 to year 9 to develop ICT skills and prepare the students for their coursework at GCSE. A 45 min study support session is offered once a week to help any students with difficulties and to push gifted and talented students.
At KS4 students follow the Edexcel GCSE modular Mathematics course. The students are introduced to more pure Mathematics with the hope of stimulating future Mathematicians.
