Summer Break Information
29th July 2011The Academy is now closed for the summer period and will re-open again on Tuesday 6th September 2011 for new Year 7s and new Year 12s. The Academy will be open to all Years on Wednesday 7th September 2011. Read More
Croydon Challenge day
1st July 2011Twelve of our Gifted and Talented students in Technology and Science participated in the annual Croydon Challenge day. They had a fantastic day building robots, vehicles and competing in other events against local schools. Read More
iDiscover Week
27th June 2011The whole of Year 8 will be taking part in a brand new initiative this July called iDiscover. This will take place on 11th to 15th July. Year 8 students will be off normal timetable for the whole week and they will be taking part in a variety of different learning experiences. Some students will be taking part in a 2 day residential trip to Somerset called “Get Me Out of Here” whilst other students will have the chance to visit the National Theatre, L’Oreal laboratories and the Royal Veterinary College. All students have been encouraged to take part with places on experiences selling out in record time. We hope they will find the experiences engaging, we look forward to reporting about the highlights of the week in September as well as hosting an iDiscover celebration evening. Sports round up
9th June 2011The last two weeks have seen the Academy athletics teams successfully participate in 3 competitions. The year 9 Croydon schools event was the first and both the girls and boys teams were looking to build on the promising performances from last year. Read More

Rome
8th June 2011During the Easter break 44 year 10s and 11s took part in a trip to Rome where we all got the chance to witness some of the city’s most famous sites. Read More
