Rugby Academy

OnARuggaTip

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Harris Federation Rugby Academy. Over the past year this Academy has been set up to ensure students in a state school could have the same opportunity and provision as their counterparts in private schools.  Enabling us to cement our Whole school Academies moto ‘All Can Achieve’.

In the Academy students will embark on a course of both academic and sporting excellence that will require them to tackle challenges and aim to achieve realistically ambitious targets. The coaching processs has been methodically thought out to ensure that you can succeed both on and off the pitch.

Since the trials in late March the Academy coaching staff have been putting together a comprehensive training and match day programme and calendar, to stretch and support every player in the academy to working towards our end goal, of creating an outstanding Harris Rugby Academy that can challenge nationally.

The athleticism and physicality of our Academy players, coupled with a committed and disciplined approach, based on our core values of Honesty, Accountability, Respect, Reliability, Integrity and Sportsmanship every player in the Academy develop both physically and as an individual character.

The coming year and beyond will see the Academy write its own piece of history, showing that a state school can compete at the very top!
